In August I made a trip to Diamantina National Park with my friend, Peter. On the way we stopped at Bowra Sanctuary near Cunnamulla and also Welford National Park. I was able to take video of 11 new birds. I still need more video of Painted Honeyeater and Slendid fairy-Wren but I was trilled with the trip and the list which included

In addition excellent footage was obtained of 10 species that were in need of extra material:

Extra material was also obtained for about 30 other species. That makes 346 species. Only 54 to go!!

It was an amazing 2 week trip and I would strongly recommend Bowra Wildlife Sanctuary to any birdwatcher – over 80 species often seen in a day by the people staying there.
