Beach Stone-Curlew (photo by Gail Bryant)
In early September we travelled to Urunga in search of better footage of Beach Stone-Curlew. After booking into the Urunga pub we consulted the Urunga brains where we were told we would find them on the right-hand side of the boardwalk. We set off very hopeful and we were finally successful on our return to the pub.
New footage was also taken of
White-faced Heron
Masked Lapwing
The lapwing was sitting on a nest with four eggs and not very happy to have its photograph taken.
On returning to Armidale we stopped off at the Dorrigo Rainforest Centre where we were lucky to take excellent footage of
Bassian Thrush
Eastern Whipbird
Another successful trip!
