Varied Sittella

On our journey home from Tamborine and Binna Burra, we stopped on the Gibraltar Range between Grafton and Glen Innes. We were able to take reasonable video and photographs of

Bell Miner

The next morning we opened the curtains to a small flock of

Varied Sittella

in the Cherry tree outside our window. What an interesting little bird. Love their upturned bill for extracting grubs as they move down the trunk of a tree. Needless to say more video and photographs were taken.

Also this month we saw quite a few

Nankeen Kestrel

hovering over our paddocks. Gail also took photographs of

White-eared Honeyeater

They seem to like our Camellias.

Most of the month was spent editing video and photographs. That’s quite a nice experience as it is warm inside and cold outside and you are reminded of the great times you had while away. No new birds were added but some improved shots were achieved.
