Major Mitchell’s Cockatoo (photo by Gail Bryant)

In August we undertook a trip to Bowra Sanctuary, Hungerford, Bourke, Narrabri and Tamworth. Conditions were perfect at Bowra and the birdwatching fantastic. By the time we reached Hungerford, Currawinya NP was closed due to flooding and conditions at Narrabri were also wet. We managed to take lots of photos and video. In addition to Major Mitchell’s Cockatoo, video of two other new species was taken

Red-browed Pardalote

Collared Sparrowhawk

I also took better video of 23 other species, including

Southern Whiteface

White-breasted Woodswallow

Splendid Fairy-Wren

That makes 396 species on video!!
