Spectacled Monarch (photo by Gail Bryant)

This month Gail and I travelled to Alstonville and Brisbane. While at Alstonville I made a trip to the Border Ranges NP to look for Eastern Bristlebirds but instead I found

Wompoo Fruit-Dove

high in a tree. Hope the video taken is of a suitable standard.

While in Brisbane I returned to Raven Street Reserve, an old reliable location and was surprised to discover Spectacled Monarch. Have never seen them there before. Gee they are hard to video in dense bush. They never sit still for a few seconds.

That’s 398. Two to go!!
