Red-kneed Dotterel (video image by Garry Clark)
Every few months a group of local birders visit Little Llangothlin Lagoon, just north of Guyra, to survey the birdlife for National Parks and Wildlife. It’s nice to be able to participate in this activity as it is a small contribution that one day may help the birds we so enjoy. The lagoon is usually a beautiful area for Ducks, Stilt and a variety of other waterbirds.
In addition to the usual ducks, this visit produced
Whiskered Tern
Sharp-tailed Sandpiper
Marsh Sandpiper
Little Grassbirds were heard in the reeds but they were not keen to show their face. May never get those little birds on video but I will keep trying. One day!
Plenty of editing also done this month from our trip to Kangaroo Island and Adelaide. Some nice memories of our experiences of the area.
