During a survey for National Parks at Little Llangothlin Lagoon north of Guyra I was able to video an Australian Spotted Crake. My first Crake!

Last week Gail and I travelled to Styx River, about 50 Km from Armidale, to have a picnic lunch with a colleague from the local birdwatching group.

Earlier in the year I visited Diamantina National Park and was lucky enough to video Red-necked Avocet. While there I was told that if I wanted to video Avocet I needed to go to Stockton.

In late October we travelled to Lord Howe Island for a week. What a beautiful place.
