In August we undertook a trip to Bowra Sanctuary, Hungerford, Bourke, Narrabri and Tamworth. Conditions were perfect at Bowra and the birdwatching fantastic.

In June we visited the Marsupial Park in Tamworth. In the aviary we spotted a pair of Scarlet-chested Parrots.

On our journey home from Tamborine and Binna Burra, we stopped on the Gibraltar Range between Grafton and Glen Innes.

During May we visited Tamborine just south of Brisbane with the goal of videoing Alber’ts Lyrebird.

I knew Spotted Quail-Thrush were in the Armidale area because a member of the local birdwatching group had taken a photo of it and asked me to identify it. That was about four years ago.
